Gold consification is not the problem. I would be more concened that they are going to tax the gold when

I don’t think there would be a point in seizing personal gold assets the way things stand right now, as the article states. Gold makes up a pretty small percentage of real assets today, a tiny portion of assets if you add derivatives and such, and is not even seen as money by most people. It is not much of a threat. Personally. I would be far more afraid of the govm’t going to try Argentina-style seizures of pension assets and 401k’s in order to bolster its balance sheet.
