Thanks for your commentary in the e-mail newsletter today Gary Gibson.

When a currency is not backed by anything tangible, hyper inflation may result in a short period of time. That is history folks. Learn it or suffer the consequences.

The sooner Congress is in charge of our money supply again instead of the Federal Reserve the better. Congress should eliminate the Federal Reserve or veto many of its decisions.

Congress needs to seriously consider backing our currency with gold, silver, and other commodities.

State governments may want to encourage a lot more gold mining, silver mining, and other mining on land and in ocean waters. There may be a great deal of minerals in our ocean waters. People should seriously consider backing an Amendment to the Constitution that allows State governments to coin money - gold coins and silver coins. State governments may want to think of more ways to extract more minerals from existing trash in landfills.

State governments may want to significantly increase trade with foreign countries that are able to pay for things with gold, silver, copper, and other valuable things.

Many businesses may want to ask for payment in gold, silver, and copper.

I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1992 with a BA Degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics.

I ran for United States Senate from New Hampshire in 2002.

I discuss inflation and increasing the power of state legislatures on http://www.myspace.com/kennethstremsky
