I recommend people read

The Lucifer Principle: A Scientific Expedition Into the Forces of History by Howard Bloom which you may read about at http://www.howardbloom.net/lucifer/about.html

Caesar: A Biography by Christian Meier

The Art of War by Sun Tzu translated by Samuel. B. Griffith

the second revised edition of Strategy by B.H. Liddell Hart which deals with strategy and military history

John Locke

The Federalist Papers

Machiavelli's Discourses

The United States Constitution - People should read all of Article 1, Section 8 of the United States Constitution word for word carefully and think about why it says what it says.

I discuss Article 6 of the United States Constitution on http://www.newgeography.com/users/kenstremsky
I discuss Amendments to the United States Constitution that I would like to see adopted to deal with the harm caused by the passage of Amendment Seventeen.

I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1992 with a BA Degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics.

I ran for United States Senate in 2002.

This is in response to Doug Casey's article, Foundations of Crisis, I feel, as a "Boomer"(1946 to 1964), I had to correct some of the misconceptions that were in Mr Casey's article. The first is that the "Boomers" only consisted of the Hippies and Yippies, you may recall that all of the servicemen and women that fought and died in Vietnam were mostly "Boomers". These are the same narcissistic, presumptuous, self righteous and ruthless people who gave us computers, cellphones and basically changed the way that we did business. They are also the Doctors and Scientists and teachers who have given us new ways to keep people healthy, curb global warming, dedicated their life to teaching the next generation or generations of young people and even given us Viagra. As a person who was born in the first year of the "Boomer" era and one who is still contributing to making this planet a better place to live, I take offense to comments made from someone, who from your picture, is a Boomer or has had a very "rough paper route".
Yes, some of our group demonstrated against the war and caused basic unrest but that was the very vocal minority that has impressed you as representative of our entire era. I am proud to be a "Boomer" and a part of the dramatic changes we have just changed our motto, as the commercial says. to "Don't Trust Anyone Over Ninety".
