I have never been more fearful of the future than I have been these past few months. It seems the best we can hope for is a severe recession or another depression. At worst, we face the horrific prospect of WW III. What kind of world have I brough my one-and-a-half year old daughter into?

The only country in North America that is self sufficient in oil production is Canada. At present it imports quite a bit of its oil in order to supply the US with a large daily amount but if this article’s scenario comes true there won’t be any more imports to have. Of course so many in Congress are anxious to terminate NAFTA, you know the treaty that requires Canada to share its oil with the US even when Canada suffers shortages along with the US. I bet the Congressional tune will change drastically if the worst happens.
