Public Schools and Social Security: Killing America, Part I
There are a lot of ways to kill something, either slowly or quickly. As for a living thing, you can shoot it, run over it, or use some other instant way of getting rid of it. There are slow ways, such as poison administered gradually, or perhaps destroying its ability to care for itself. If you took a domesticated animal, and put it out in the wild, it would starve or be eaten because it wouldn’t know how to hunt or protect itself. In the animal kingdom, the weak are eliminated because of not being able to protect themselves from predators, illness, or some other form of weakness. This is the natural method which nature uses to keep the animals strong and healthy. The old and weak are at times eaten by the young and strong. Mutants are sterile, so their kind won’t reproduce and pollute the animal kingdom.
Enough about animals; let’s examine how America has, and is being killed. In the main by two methods: (1) Currency destruction, and (2) Weakening the populace. The currency destruction is inseparably linked to the second method. Before FDR, people used to plan for their retirement, save in sound dollars, own a home, or in a hundred ways, plan for old age. Americans were strong, intelligent, hard working, and knew that if they didn’t plan for retirement and old age, they might die early. Did it work? Of course! Naturally, the weak and stupid didn’t plan for their old age, and guess what? They died early, which is as it should have been. Just like stupid animals, they couldn’t survive if they didn’t act and plan properly. An animal has to find a place to live, build a nest, store food, and the like. People had to pay their debts, pay off their home, save money, and PLAN. If they did, all was OK. If they didn’t, they died early. The human strain was kept strong by this method, just like in the animal kingdom.
What stopped this necessity to plan and save? Social Security, for one. Government would take care of the oldsters, and remove their duty and necessity to care and plan for themselves. Government would force a deduction from their paychecks, put it away for them, and then when they retired, all would be well. This, of course, weakened the populace. They no longer had to plan, save, sacrifice, and work hard for their old age. The weak no longer failed and died. They lived, and continued to live, when they should have, by all logical means, been dead and buried. By staying alive, they became and become a burden on the rest of the populace and families. Does this sound coarse, mean, crude, and ungodly? Maybe it does to you, but it is so logical. The Social Security scheme, like all other government “plans” and bureaucracies, have ruined the value of the dollar. Forced, compulsory, Social Security, like all other government entitlements, has become a disaster. There are far more retirees than workers, and the original 1% deduction, now is close to 20%, still not enough, thereby weakening all of us. As if that weren’t bad enough, government continues to lie about inflation, which it causes, so the welfare checks are far less than they should be; thereby screwing the supposedly well cared for recipients. No one can live on a Social Security check today, even though we have all been forced to pay through our noses to support it. The entire American citizenry has been made weaker, made unable to care for itself, and at the same time been stolen from in a wholesale manner. Government then, is killing its citizens and itself at the same time.
Originally, there were no public schools. Everyone taught their kids at home. Literally, or in a private or religious school. Caring, smart parents taught them well, and the kids succeeded. America, a hundred years ago was far more educated and cultured than now. By knowledge and skills of reading, math and other subjects, the eighth grader of a hundred years ago compares equally with today’s college student or maybe even graduate. This was without any public schools. The stupid parents who didn’t teach or show caring, demonstrated it in their kids who failed in life, probably died early, and didn’t become a burden on the rest of society. Next, there were thousands of one-room schoolhouses, paid for by the local populace, and these schools did very well, but it was the beginning of large public schools, which seem to be not much more than baby sitters. Home schooling has once again become the smart thing to do by caring parents, because they realize that government schools are a disaster, like every other government scheme and “program.” Public schools now consume three quarters of all property taxes, and do a lousy, expensive job. Catholic parents usually send their kids to parochial schools which are in no way “public” and not paid for by taxpayers. Wealthy parents may have sent, and still do, send their kids to private schools, not paid for by taxes, and they always did and still do a fine job.
Government schools had to fail, like all “programs” fail, because of inefficiency and cost. The failure and cost of public schools is partially responsible for populating the streets of America with thugs, criminals, druggies, shoplifters, burglars, rapists, and all sorts of riff-raff, which should be dead, and maybe not have been born in the first place, probably. Trash, uneducated, uncaring people seem to multiply at enormous rates and cause a lot of crime, don’t they? Cruel, ungodly, and coarse? Maybe, but picture America if there had never been a public school, and every child had been home-schooled or sent to a private school, paid for by its parents, with little or no property taxes, and no terrible, microscopic educating in failing public schools. There would be thousands and thousands of private schools operating for profit, and competing with each other for achievement, being used by parents who chose not to home-school. No teachers unions and inept teachers. There couldn’t be because competition in the market wouldn’t allow for it. There would be schools specializing in cooking, engineering, language, math, or whatever the parents chose for their kids. There would be an abundance of religious schools, paid for by churches and parents of pupils, but no drain on taxpayers of any kind, and superb education.
The public school systems, even in small towns like the one I live in, have proved to be expensive disasters. Homeowners are being taxed severely to pay for these incompetent, inefficient, poorly educating, sinkholes of fading dollars. So ingrained have public schools and Social Security become in the American mind, that most will disagree with my thesis. They will moan and groan about how, “We have to care for old people and educate the children,” even though facts and logic prove that the opposite has happened, and cost a fortune in dollars and crime. America has inflicted wounds on itself over the last hundred years, because the general public opinion is that, “People need to be helped and taught,” regardless of the cost or lack of success at either. Perhaps 1% of America will agree with me on this first part, because they are so mind-numbed by government propaganda, the media, and the garbage they themselves have learned in classrooms of public schools. Government and “programs” always come out ahead, and are painted as glorious and wonderful by the media, schools, and bureaucrats. They are the opposite, and are partly responsible for the killing of America. Once something gets started, regardless of the total illogic of it, such as public schools and Social Security, there is a zero chance of obliterating it, because so many have become dependent, and thereby weak. How can a nation survive if it is weak?

What a great article, thank you. We were homeschooling before it was cool. At first, people considered us weird; now, they say, Gee, I wish we could do that. They could if they really wanted to, of course, but have become, as you say, too lazy and unfit to even try. Their poor children will suffer for it.
My god, what a poorly written article. Is this the best your contributors can provide? This sounds like a junior high rant by someone educated solely by watching the talking heads on Fox news.

The main fact about the original Social Security program you (deliberately?) fail to mention is that, unlike the bulk of government programs, this one was a functional success. Not long ago, this programs was experiencing large surpluses.
Instead of reinvesting and expanding these supluses, our newer “smart kids”, blank check attitude politicians could not bear showing up for work bumping their heads on something that worked. Surely, moving retirement-to-death ratios out, tapping surpluses throught the back door while liberally thinking anyone who swims to our beach are magically welcome at the front door of our entitlement … this sentece could run on for ever … grrrr!
Now the “smart kids” and people like you, Don, after-the-fact can declare “See, we told you it didn’t work!”
You’re right one one point. Odds are that few can live on Social Security at retirement. But, looking at the growing majority of retirees that will not assume a company pension, thanks to more “smart kids” crushing our economy, our +30-year investment payout should have been whole. Hey, Don, where does that retirement stipend end up? Trick question for “smart kids”. Answer: Back into the economy.
Your article blandly echoes a primary principle: Just because it doesn’t go to some fat cats “golden parachute”, their boot-licking politicians, or like-minded authors simply show that the elderly, sick, wounded, widowed, or retired remain second-class citizens. That’s not news!

It is not all bad. Remember that those idiots you speak of can quickly be converted into a supply of spare organs. And the poorly educated masses can easily be exploited via pyramid schemes. Just accept that there is no hope for the bulk of the population, and get busy exploiting them.
We home school our children and It is the best decision we ever made. The public shool kids have no respect, no morals, and should stick with reading, writing, and arithmetics.
I should also mention that kids are exposed to drugs, sex, and taught how to pass states standardized tests, rather than how to actually study, think and become challenged. The children are more like drones rather than the walking sponges that they are naturally. I should also mention that peer pressure really comes into the picture in the schools more so than home schooling also. The public shool also is a perfect place to push an agenda that is Non-American also. here the teachers/staff and government can push any idea they want including the whole “gay” is okay thing that is so prevalent in our young children. Rome fell due to its corruption and moral decay. We are a modern day Rome, and we are seeing the last days of the empire as we know it. In 1929 only 2% of Americans had mortgages. Today only 2% don’t have mortgages today. The moral decay and the debt in this country is our biggest threat to our society. This all ties back to the children, and the future. It all starts at home, including education. Keep it simple stupid also known as K.I.S.S. should be employed by everyone. Let’s get back to the basics in the school. Reading, writing, and Arithmetics. Oh, yeah and God!!!!!
Certainly a controversial viewpoint and stated in a highly argumentative way, but very accurate. Frankly I was surprised there weren’t more voices challenging the statements above — most are tragically trapped in The Matrix.
If we had term limits & control of the politicians and restricted them to 1 term in any office and did not allow anyone to run for another office while serving in an elected office, we might have some control “by the people”. If we had used such controls instead of allowing pols to remain in office, we could have prevented their misusing Social Security funds for other needs & the matter would be moot. The pols would listen to the electorate if the had to go home after their term & face the music. Think the “Bailout” where the great majority of the electorate demanded that no “Bailout” be enacted.
Local governments almost constantly demand more taxes for the failing schools & place that on every ballot until passed. We are building a new High School by decree from the state even tho the present school is temporarily overcrowded. The enrollment is dropping. The school sets on 250 Acres of land owned by the school board & could easily be remodeled if a real need existed.
Oh Well, I can’t change anything & will just get as ready as possible for the coming depression. Maybe the “People” will wake up if they miss a few meals.
Of course, as the capitalist economic system reaches its final stage in the US, marked by imperialism and empire, it produces a debilitated or “weak” populace. The system has come to the place where it simply needs the people to consume now. It’s one “economic stimulus” check after another. The lazy and incurious man who occupies the White House spoke for our economic masters after the events of 9/11. “Go out and shop.” Let desperate men among us with no other options fight wars in the background of your lives. Let immigrant workers do the jobs that involve real effort and discipline.
The system also produces a vapid and self-involved petty bourgeois intelligentsia. Commentators who can’t bother to look any deeper into the realities of the world than a Hollywood movie or their favorite blog. That’s why the present state of affairs can be absurdly traced to the existence of public schools and Social Security by you Mr. Stott.
This whole thing seems like it’s a half-assed multiple-person rant. The points everyone is making are somewhat valid, but are stated so stubbornly, narrow-mindedly and arrogantly that it kind of drives me away from wanting to give it more thought. I hated high school (which is partially why I dropped out and got a GED) and saw many problems with it, but I still attended public school until I was 17; the fact still remains.

That statement is a sort of trick. It isn’t my true opinion, because I have met home-schooled people who match the discription, and others who do not. That statement is, as I learned from a great English teacher in a public school, called a “hasty generalization”. Not all people have the money to give their children home-schooling. As R. Goerig said, that would create a lower-class that does not deserve that position. Some of the most intelligent people in the world are part of poor families. That would make it impossible for their potential to ever be discovered and used to make the world a better place. Just because one child’s mom and dad make more than the other does not mean they are superior.
These theories are all backwards. The public school has some good teachers and some bad teachers. If it’s really such an American failure (and I do agree that most public schools are), than you should think of what could be done to make them better. Agreeing with taking away the public schools in itself is immoral. Public school does not make children gay (personally, I really don’t see why straight people care so much about whether other people are gay or not anyway, since it doesn’t really effect us in any way), immoral, stupid, weak, etc.. People are what they choose to be, even if temptation exists. Overall, the only person anyone can blame for one’s flaws is oneself. If they can’t take their experiences and become a better person off of them instead of turning into something bad and blaming society, than that person is the true “weak” one. School tempts us to take on a straight view of everything instead of ever thinking “outside-the-box”, but if they succeed in making an individual like that than the individual, alone, is a failure. Not the school, parents, friends, or whatever else might be blamed for their failure. Arrogance and narrow-mindedness are more likely going to be the fall of the United States.

Public schools are funded by threat of violence and violence by way of state mandate. Eliminating welfare schools would be moral while maintaining welfare schools is immoral assuming theft/extortion is immoral.
How do people continue to not consider the state theft of welfare anything? Hmmmm….most are publicly educated so I guess the phenomena is self perpetuating. It does seem that the welfare schooled are more collectivist to be sure.

I’ve just found this site, and I’ve read some good articles here. I see that some comments here are as usual…if one doesn’t agree, they throw out the old “You must get your news from Fox”, where they show their narrow mindedness for NOT watching Fox news, or other fair news (not many, are there), or reading any of several sites that don’t care which side the story helps or hurts, they tell what is happening, what is not being told elsewhere….one of sites I frequent is Worldnetdaily.com. I have this site bookmarked, now.
Don’t you just love to hear people talk about our Democracy??? Our governmental system is a REPUBLIC!!! Now, see if you hear THAT on liberal sites or stations. (or schools for that matter) We must tolerate the leftist news for local events, but who in the world is going to tell us what’s really going on. We would not know if we didn’t have other outlets sharing information that we would not know otherwise. So, that is why the liberals (progressives as they are calling themselves lately) wrote the “fairness doctrine” which is anything but fair. So far from fair, actually. (They love names that are anything but what they really are!) This doctrine will silence the voices they do not want heard, those they do not agree with.
When Al Gore lost his bid for presidency, he blamed Fox. I heard him say that he lost because Fox and others like them allowed the voice of the “right” to be heard. ALLOWED THEIR VOICES! What? Censorship if for only those they don’t want heard. And they want talk radio shut down completely if it is for those of us that aren’t liberals. NOW, they are targeting control of the internet. Information is key. Whoever controls that, controls us.
Did you also know that “red state/blue state” was once the opposite? But the Democra_ahem_marxists didn’t want to be associated with red. So, the mainstream media swapped the colors. Why? Because of Red politicians in countries that were plunged into dictatorship in violent ways such as Red China, etc.
I also haven’t seen on those liberal sites anyone mention that the democrats have been studying, planning, and writing the legislation to SEIZE our 401k, 403b, IRA, or other retirement accounts and shovel it into the social security system to shore up their failed system. Yes. One person’s comments here said it was a good program. What has happened with it shows just how bad the system was. So, now the dems plan to steal from those of us that have worked and SAVED, we did without wants in favor of needs so that we could put money aside. WE will be the victims of these marxists.
Only two years with dems in charge, Pelosi at their wheel, she and the one in charge of the financial system’s health, Barney Frank, was in front of cameras blaming the repubs for NOT voting for the bailout. He cried that they were punishing the citizens because their feelings were hurt. The repubs were pointing out that they had seen the train wreck coming for several years all through even six months before the crash – and Frank argued that all was perfect – JUST MONTHS BEFORE THE CRASH…..so, do we trust him again? God help us! It is easy to find out who got the most in donations from the companies that have been bailed out. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, and on and on. (Until our vehicles for information are turned off)
And, can you please write an article about how we get OUT of all our retirement savings before it (what little of it is left after the bad mortgage and credit crisis) goes to shore up someone that drove new cars, dressed so very nicely, visited salons regularly, all while not saving one red cent, and to top it off, bought mansions (they want bailouts to keep)?
I want my kids to inherit a country that is free, but I doubt that will happen. A mind is a terrible thing to waste was a television commercial always showing “people of color” as victims back in the 70′s. My son graduated with honors in pre-med biology and applied to several medical schools. He was told he was a white guy, and there weren’t enough openings. I recently met another pre-med graduate. He was told that of 40 openings, only FOUR could be given to white males. Yep. That’s right. They said they took foreigners, females, and blacks. Do you want a doctor that wasn’t at the top of his class? Or how about all the doctors you can’t understand because of their heavy foreign accents? Now, how safe is that? If one doesn’t understand completely, and dies from the events – then I guess it’s ok as long as the entitlements are in full operation.
I feel I’ve been part of the problem. I, too, was a liberal. I grew up. I took responsibility for myself. I lived in a small trailer and we saved as much as we could, and more than we could some fo the time. Dry beans and potatoes were a mainstay, and popcorn sometimes was all we had. We now live in a small house that we built with our own hands using castoff items, recycled items, yard sale items, and it is paid for. But, watch for there to be no personal ownership once our country becomes a full socialism. It is now dangerously close to a Socialist Democracy, thanks to the two years of failures by the ones voters hired to run our country and answer to us. (Disclaimer: don’t blame me. I haven’t voted for the liberals since I grew up and began to look into news everywhere instead of listening to only them)

Hear Voices Inside Your Head?
The U.S. military has been funding the deployment of a non-lethal microwave weapon that creates sound inside your head. The project, known as MEDUSA (Mod Excess Deterrent Using Silent Audio) creates “microwave auditory effects” which works by a beam of microwaves that are turned into sound by the interaction with it in your head. No one else can hear it unless they are of the beam as well.
There are health risks stemming from the WEAPON, namely RADIOATION. Due to the high-intensity shockwaves created by the microwave pulse, there is BRAIN DAMAGE associated with the beams.

How can human “hear” (microwaves) voice with brain with out using ears? Besides being center of mental functions, the human brain is also a receiver for electrical impulse from rest of the human body. The brain translates theses impulse into actual sound or sensations. For example, human ears collect sound waves and convert it into electrical impulses. Then, these electrical impulse are send to the brain and is translated by the brain into actual sound (that you “hear”). You can directly send these electrical signals (which represent sound) into the target’s brain, then the targeted person will “hear voices” without using his/her ears. The ears are completely bypassed in this “hearing process”.
Sounds are input directly into the human mind via microwave. The sound comes from just behind the head. When people are illuminated with properly modulated low power microwaves the sensation is reported as buzzing, clicking, or hissing.
It is possible to create high fidelity speech in the human body, a very small temperature perturbation. This is associated with a sudden expansion of the slightly heated tissue. Thus it is possible to “talk’ to selected adversaries in a fashion that would be most disturbing to them.”

By reading some of the comments left here, we can clearly see how brain-washed people are – the 99% that disagree with you! And they get mad, too! Amazing!!
Unfortunately, it’s true that a weak nation won’t survive, The 99% must be happy with that!
