Huddle in the cities, waiting for the dole? Is that what you are saying?
B. S. is what I hear.
Get a piece of land to grow food, critters and some sense of freedom.
The cities are a handout, entitlement wasteland.
Mixed martial arts for the kids, a garden, a decent partner, be it woman or man, a gun or two, in a community of like minded souls and you live your life. There is nothing like a ‘your own flock’ chicken egg. A venison steak is not so shabby either. A fella can make beer and grow grapes for wine. Yes it is a hard life.
You can keep the cities, I mind the maggots.

I respectfully disagree. What starting it all is unsound money. More to the point, the Federal Reserve creating money and credit out of thin air, and fractional reserve banking that lets banks inflate the money supply by lending out 9 dollars for every dollar of deposit. The housing bubble and the related worthless derivatives would never have existing without these things.

You don’t hoard your cash, you turn it into durable goods. You don’t worry about “the economy,” you look out for yourself and your family. If you are new to W&G I suggest you read the archived works of Dan Amrhein, Chris Meyer, and even those I wrote. Dollars under the mattress won’t do you much good. Linda Brady Traynham

This is scary stuff, so what next? What do we have to do to survive this? Do we hoard the little cash we have to be ready for more stormy days? Then that would be bad for the economy won’t it? They are depending on the consumers to stimulate the economy and without this the scenario will be gloomier still.
