On Aug. 11, 2005, Reuters reported that "Moody's Affirms Fannie Mae "AAA" Senior Debt Rating":
"Moody's Investors Service on Thursday affirmed the 'AAA' senior debt ratings of Fannie Mae, the largest U.S. home finance provider, but said its preferred stock and subordinated debt remain on review for possible downgrade."
