The best energy policy does not involve the government in the innovation or management of energy technology. The best policy exploits market forces through forward-looking pricing to anticipate the future and induce the nation to take action to avert disaster. The disaster nearest at hand is the impending feeding frenzy for oil. This will cause today's energy prices to triple or quadruple. The felicitous solution is to tax oil and distribute the resulting revenue to U.S. tax payers as a tax rebate. This policy decision would be palatable and would automatically induce all of the desired actions in an effective and expeditious way. Read all about it at www.tax-oil.com
