Where do I apply for immigration to ROT? I am a victim of my birth as a resident of the Socialist State of Michigan. I have trade skills and would be willing to sign affidavits declaring I will not be in need of public assistance (nor apply for assistance).

Dear Mr. Yarbrough:

My apologies for the delay; I've been living the future, without hot water, a dishwasher, or Internet for several days!

In response to several letters requesting it and my own inclinations expect a couple of articles on the ROT as soon as there is room for them. I'll ask Gary to send you my private e-mail address because this project is both do-able and completely legal and I will be delighted to discuss it with you at any length which interests you.

There is great need for people who love our Republic of Texas and have skills such as your brief (and very much appreciated, thank you!) missive shows: you're Texan (or "Texian," as some old timers said), you're eloquent, you have managerial skills, and at a pretty good guess you're an Engineer! Engineers are my favorite people because you have such interesting minds. On top of that you're retired and you're already a W&G reader, indicating you're knowledgeable about the current economic, financial, and political problems. Wahoo!

What we need MOST is people who take time to learn the facts and issues, those who will do research on the 'net occasionally, and those who will bat ideas around with me. When I got sidetracked on "the end of society as we know it is coming!" I was working on an educational packet which covered the twenty problems I thought most citizens were concerned about; in every instance the answer is, "Restore the Republic!"

We can do that any time we can bring the matter to a vote and win, but we have an educational campaign ahead of us first. It won't be fast, and it won't be easy, but if we succeed there WILL be one last real Jeffersonian Republic, and we'll be something like the 8th wealthiest nation in the world. We have deep water ports, vast wind farms, plenty of sweet, light Texas crude, enormous reserves off shore, refineries, the only complete and separate electrical grid on the continent, an inordinate amount of the last 2.1 million small farms (FDR had 5.1 to feed a third the population.), vast herds of cattle and goats, manufacturing, a good rail network...and a perfectly splendid Constitution that will eliminate over a hundred taxes and millions of pages of destructive regulations immediately!

Our first president in nearly a hundred and fifty years will make $10,000/year and his salary cannot be raised while he is in office! I suggest someone like Dr. Ron Paul or Chuck Norris. For their principles and because they can afford it.

Citizens will still be entitled to Social Security because that is a private contract between them and the corporation doing business as "The United States of America."

Lest anyone think that this all hinges on technicalities (I will tell you later why Texas has never been and could never have been admitted to the US) we have the decision of a Federal Judge in 2004. His Honor instructed the Feds to "cease and desist all hostilities against the lands and people of the Republic of Texas!" The official representative of DC went back there, and probably they all had a good laugh, but we take it seriously. The judge takes contempt of court seriously.

We have a TREATY. NATIONS DEAL WITH EACH OTHER BY TREATY.

Our flag does not fly at the same height as the US flag out of silly sentiment or to advertise the entertainment at Six Flags Over Texas. It does so in recognition of the fact that we are a separate nation, and have been since before The War of Northern Aggression, aka The War for Southern Independence, referred to by the other side as The War of the Rebellion. Texas fought on for six months after General Lee surrendered.

Our dream is to go back and start over and get it right this time.

I hope that answers the question briefly, and I hope to hear from you.

Warmly,

Linda

I see you're off Padre Island! We're just north of Aggieland. Who knows, we may end up with a Texas Honky Tonky version of the W&G Bar!

An excellent article; lucid, tenable, spot on and very readable. As a native Texan, I must ask how can I support the ROT?

One would think with all the "wind" coming off Capitol Hill, putting wind turbines in the Potomac would produce more than enough "Green Energy" to power the Senate Chambers. But, alas, what to do about "storage capacity"? They're only in Session 3 days a week.
