Thank you VERY much. Yours is my first comment since I got appointed a “Field Correspondent,” whatever that may be exactly, and I am utterly delighted by such a nice compliment. Yours, that is, although Gary’s, as well, of course, since he’s the one who shoved me out on stage hissing, “Give it your best shot, Gwendolyn, and you’ll be a star!”

I replied, “Uh…I’m not really the understudy, I was just delivering a pizza and stopped to watch a moment… I’ve never even seen the show and I don’t tap dance very well…” Well, that’s not QUITE what he said, although it is a pretty direct quote from me. He just said I could write from time to time.

I’m sitting here chuckling, since I hadn’t known I got an actual title until just a moment ago. That one gives me visions of hanging out with James Stewart as an Ambasssador, or Humphrey Bogart in a trench coat, a dashing war correspondent in an old black and white movie…

I’m probably more like a minor character on the fringes of an Indiana Jones movie!
