First of all, I work in the auto sector. I am a automobile salesman. The guy that most of America hates.

But I am a realist and I saw the writing on the wall a long time ago. GM gone, Chrysler gone. NEXT

Toyota will be the next one to have major issues. They spent a lot of money on a plant to build trucks that they have to give BIG rebates to move them off the lot, kinda like GM. What were they smoking? Probably the same crap that the leaders of GM were.

The new big three Ford, Hyundai,VW ( maybe Honda will edge one of them out). The next wave of technology
that will hit the market will be the ( FUSION propulsion system) it will make the internal combustion engine obsolete. GE is working on prototo types as I write this letter. Why they did not step forward and take over some of the closed plants and start their own electric car company, heck they have all of the patents and the capabilities, it would put the rest of the manufacturers out of business.

Watch out for the Chinese, they have an unlimited number of people that will work... and

As far as " perpetual motion" goes, if you look at or study the Constitution, it is clearly stated that a machine or device that makes this claim can not or will not be issued a patent.

People are still buying cars and trucks and banks are still in business. I know that a person has the right to buy any thing that they want however when the economy is going rough don't you think that it is in bad taste for a politician to buy a new car from a dealer across the state line, and at the same time raise taxes and tell state employees that they have to take days off with no pay
This has happened in Augusta Maine, she went to NH and purchased a Jag and we do have a Jag dealer in Maine, the voters will remember

Maybe buying and SUV in the future will be a lot like buying a small biplane. Only the wealthy will be able to afford and use it.

Okay, so the U.S. is going to hell. So what is to be done? In truth, there is a very simple energy policy that could easily and quickly quench U.S. oil consumption and that would be palatable to rational U.S. taxpayers. It's called "forward pricing". This is namely to impose a $100 surcharge on every barrel of oil consumed in the U.S. and then distribute the revenue to U.S. taxpayers. That would amount to more than $500 paid to each and every household every month. The benefits include a reduction in the net cost of gasoline, through demand reduction. See www.conserve-oil.com for background and details.
