		<description>Some of you are wondering where we hide all the really good bourbon:

&quot;Hi Gary,

&quot;As a subscriber, I’m puzzled by the lack of specificity in your good newsletters. For example, in the newsletter that came today, you refer to Dr. Mark Smith and his association with Anavex. Is that a recommendation on your part that Anavex is a promising investment?

&quot;Similarly, you have frequently promoted a way to invest in gold for “pennies per ounce,” but I have yet to see just what that refers to, although I have read through your gold reports.

&quot;Thanks in advance for your assistance.&quot;

Just click on the links to take a look at our lively and persuasive ad copy. We love discussing the broad issues with you for the sheer joy, but we save the very specific advice for paying customers.

I suppose we could give out all our best and most profitable research for free…but then we’d soon be dead because we couldn’t afford food or shelter.

Another Shooter wonders where it all went wrong…

&quot;Gary,

&quot;As a non-American who has not read the U.S. Constitution (though I’m planning on it), I was wondering if it’d be possible for you to explain what went wrong in your country from a Constitutional standpoint?

&quot;As an example, it seems (as an outsider with zero knowledge looking in) that a potential problem is with appointments to the Supreme Court being political in nature.

&quot;It appears that vesting the political clASSES with the power to appoint those to the Supreme Court has led to a weakening of the Judiciary, and from there to the outright perversion and corruption of the very principles and ideals that made the U.S.A the greatest country in the world i.e. your Constitution.

&quot;When I was a child, the U.S.A. was the envy of the world as a bastion of freedom...

&quot;Now I look at your country and shudder at just how close you seem to a Police State...

&quot;Love what you’ve done with Whiskey &amp; Gunpowder since taking the helm.

&quot;Keep up the good work!&quot;

Thank you. Helming Whiskey is a barrel of monkeys. I still can’t believe they pay me to have this much fun.

How did we wind up so far down the road to serfdom in the land of the free? Why, the process is as natural as aging. There are always some jabrones looking to plunder and enslave with a combination of coercion and lies. And the masses are given to herd behavior and falling for bunk about getting things for free.

One generation spends its existence forging a dynamic republic based on thrift, entrepreneurship, the sanctity of private property, and liberty; the next trades it all for the false promises of a totalitarian nanny state.

So can I explain this from a Constitutional standpoint? Perhaps with a long list of legal decisions that clearly chipped away at the very foundations of our freedoms?

I suppose I could, but it’s so much easier to point out that those with the power to do so simply ignore the Constitution whenever it suits. They write up some legal gobbledygook when needed and end up doing all manner of outlandish things like telling adults what they can ingest and forcing them to tithe ever-growing chunks of their income to bureaucrats.

Democracy allows the masses to vote for such hokum, but human nature guarantees they go for it in the first place.

Crazy, I know, but that’s really it in a nutshell.

We’ll talk more tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your Monday.

Regards,
Gary Gibson
