Is it possible you have a list already compiled of those in any position of influence who have listened to you?

I am not presently an expert on effecting change in others (let alone in myself but I would like to be a part of bringing your reasoning to many. I presently tell almost every person I know, to read every word of yours, and to please RESPOND.

It is just that I would like to know what could be the most effective RESPONSE for an ordinary cat like me.

I am most grateful to Whiskey & Gunpowder for their far-sightedness and courage (and their sense of humor!), but I am convinced that communicating with urgency to people who can INFLUENCE public policy may require gaining critical mass with other likeminded individuals and ORGANIZATIONS right now, as in TODAY!!

You should be “Presenting” at TED. The Rocky Mountain Institute should be posting your writings and getting your message out. You should be presenting at Esalen, Kripalu, Omega, Naropa, The Crossings, etc, if only as a means of lighting some light bulbs within communities of individuals who claim as part of their mission; far-sightedness, accessibility and concern for our “Planetary Healing”. They are so EASILY approachable if couched in terms affecting individual preparation for dramatic global change or individual participation in changing things for the ‘better’. They would PAY YOU to talk to MANY “inspired”(?) individuals. You would maybe have FUN! They love to think of themselves as “ahead” of the edge….

Al Gore spoke to almost 3000 paying “Omegans” at a “Personal Growth” type of conference in Manhattan, 2 years ago. Following him at the podium was The Director of Omega talking about their Center for Sustainability, centered around a (presently under construction) “Living Machine” wastewater treatment system. Nobody sat around and OMMMMMMed together, they took notes and asked what they could do NEXT (including where do I send the check!)

I know I can be easily dismissed by fellow Whiskey readers for this last little suggestion (please save your ink) but I have little personal experience with reaching wider audiences, yet intimate personal experience with just those communities mentioned.

I also am a military veteran, who spent time protecting crude directly on the tax-payers dime,. Within the Military there might also be some High Ranking guys who are far-sighted and INFLUENTIAL (and more importantly ACCESSIBLE) – especially as you already speak in clear terms of “National Security” .

If I am overlooking the obvious – that you already spend more time than you would prefer trying to reach people of influence, please forgive me and send me on my way, but if I can be of any service in lightening the load and expanding the power of your work, let me (and many others) know what to do next.
